Have you made a game music arrangement which you would like to share with more people?
Have you recorded yourself playing one arrangement you found here and would like other people to listen to it?
Did you make a video of yourself playing one arrangement from this website and would like other people to watch it?
Do you, for some weird reason, enjoy recording game footage and would like to help us?

If you want to submit something to this website and have read our Submission Agreement, please follow these guidelines:

If you want to submit an arrangement...
  • You must be a member of the GMA Forum.
  • Make sure that a version of your arrangement doesn't already exist on this website. At the moment we prefer not to have several versions of the same theme.
  • Your submission must be your own, original arrangement. Don't submit on behalf of others.
  • Your arrangement must be in PDF format and be accompanied by a MIDI file made from it. Name both files as "(Name of Game) - (Name of Theme)". Since most game themes haven't got a determined name, please choose a representative name for the theme you submit. Both files mustn't exceed 500KB in size combined. Please don't submit images or screenshots in bmp, jpg, gif or any other image format. They will be automatically rejected. If you don't know how to convert your arrangements to PDF, check the software links at the Links section.
  • Your arrangement must be about a video game or computer game theme, a variation of a game theme or a compilation of sound effects or short motifs for piano. Don't send one sound effect with a length of one bar. It's a waste of paper...
  • At the moment only arrangements of music from commercial games is accepted. Avoid sending arrangements of music from games that are shareware, freeware or personal projects.
  • Try to make your arrangement as close to the original theme as possible. If your arrangement isn't accurate enough it may be rejected. On this website we focus on quality rather than on quantity. If you consider your arrangement can be dramatically improved, then improve it before submitting it!
  • Arrangements must be cleanly and clearly produced. Use margins. Space the elements correctly. Avoid overlapping between elements. Try to use this structure to place the title and other elements on the arrangement. Please don't forget to include a link to this website. It serves as a way to prove that you are the real arranger of the arrangement you are submitting.
  • Submissions that do not meet the previous requirements will not be evaluated. If they do, they will be evaluated based equally on arrangement, production and quality criteria.
  • Send only one arrangement at a time. Multiple submissions on the same email will not be evaluated.
  • Ensure that submissions are final, polished works: once posted, they cannot be revised.
  • Do not host your submission on a temporary storage site where it might expire before it is evaluated. In the event that you cannot host your file, send your submission as an email attachment. You will not be contacted if your link or attachment does not work.
  • Send your arrangement to gorifater@gmail.com, including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][Arrangement]" plus its title.
  • Along with a link or attachment to your submission (PDF + MIDI), include in your email:
    • Your nickname.
    • Your email address.
    • Your website. (optional)
    • Your GMA Forum username.
    • A link or attachment to your avatar. (if it's the first time you submit something to this website) (optional)
    • Name of the theme arranged.
    • Game in which that theme appeared. In case the theme is shared by several games, indicate the first one.
    • Additional information about the game including composer and system. (if there is no material for that game on the site yet)
    • A link or attachment to the original music file you used to make your arrangement.
    • Indicate if you are submitting an easy or a complete version of the theme.
  • If you consider that you have something that would fit very well with the material available on this website, like a compilation of variations or a full album of arrangements, even if they don't meet all the requirements described above, don't hesitate to send it including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][Other]" and indicating on the email why you think it would be interesting to add it to this site.

If you want to submit a recording...
  • You must be an active member of the GMA Forum (you must have more than 30 posts).
  • You must be the performer on the recording you submit. Don't submit on behalf of others.
  • Your recording must be in MP3 format. Name it as "(Name of Game) - (Name of Theme)". It mustn't exceed 5MB in size. Please do not submit recordings in other music formats, like OGG or WAV. They will be automatically rejected. If you don't know how to convert other music formats to MP3, check the software links at the Links section.
  • Your recording must be about a video game or computer game theme, a variation of a game theme or a compilation of sound effects or short motifs for piano. The arrangement you used to play must be from any of the GMA's websites. If there is no arrangement available to learn what you played anywhere, indicate it on the email. However, in that case your recording might have less chances to be accepted.
  • At the moment only recordings of music from commercial games is accepted. Avoid sending recordings of music from games that are shareware, freeware or personal projects.
  • Try to play well. Recordings with too many mistakes may be rejected. Reduce wrong notes to the minimum. Respect dynamics. Although there are many people who love hearing others playing as fast as possible, recordings of themes played excessively fast will be rejected.
  • Recordings must be cleanly and clearly produced. They should be reasonably free of distortion, hum, clicks, pops, or other unintentional audio artifacts. Volume levels should be normal compared to the average recording. Please show significant attention to sound quality.
  • Submissions that do not meet the previous requirements will not be evaluated. If they do, they will be evaluated based equally on performance, production and quality criteria.
  • Send only one recording at a time.
  • Send your recording to gorifater@gmail.com, including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][Recording]" plus its title.
  • Along with a link or attachment to your submission (MP3), include in your email:
    • Your nickname.
    • Your email address.
    • Your website. (optional)
    • Your GMA Forum username.
    • A link or attachment to your avatar. (if it's the first time you submit something to this website) (optional)
    • Name of the theme recorded.
    • Game in which that theme appeared. In case the theme is shared by several games, indicate the first one.
    • Additional information about the game including composer and system. (if there is no material for that game on the site yet)
    • A link to the arrangement you used to learn the music you recorded.
  • Recordings take a lot of bandwidth and quite a chunk of space compared to arrangements. If you abandone the GMA community (if you don't give signs of life for a lot of time), your recording might be taken down from this website.

If you want to submit a video...
There are three different types of videos you can submit:
A video performance of one of the arrangements from this website
  • You must be the performer on the video you submit. Don't submit on behalf of others.
  • Upload your video to YouTube. Name it as "(Name of Game) - (Name of Theme)". Add to its description the text "The arrangement used to learn the music played on this video was made by (the arranger who made it) and can be downloaded at" and a link to Game Music Themes.
  • Your video must be a piano performance of one of the arrangements available at this website.
  • Try to play well. Videos with too many mistakes may be rejected. Reduce wrong notes to the minimum. Respect dynamics. Although there are many people who love watching others playing as fast as possible, videos of themes played excessively fast will be rejected.
  • Videos must be cleanly and clearly produced and look acceptably well even after the compression process YouTube applies to all videos. No other music than what you play should be heard at the beginning or end of the video.
  • Submissions will be evaluated based equally on performance, production and quality criteria.
  • Send only one YouTube link at a time. Don't send a link to your YouTube profile.
  • Ensure that submissions are final, polished works: once posted, they cannot be revised.
  • You will not be contacted if your YouTube link does not work. YouTube videos aren't instantly accesible to the public after they are uploaded. Wait some time after you upload the video before sending the email.
  • Send the YouTube link to your video to gorifater@gmail.com, including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][VideoDetails]" plus its title. Include in your email:
    • Your nickname.
    • Your email address.
    • Your website. (optional)
    • A link or attachment to your avatar. (if it's the first time you submit something to this website) (optional)
    • A link to the details page of the theme you play.
  • If your video is accepted, it will be added to the details page of the arrangement you play as a YouTube embedded video. It will not be downloadable.
Video footage for the details page of an arrangement from this website
  • It's not necessary that you have taken the footage yourself. If you find a YouTube video that could serve as footage for a game theme, you can send it too.
  • The purpose of including game footage to the details of an arrangement is to remind people where the arranged music could be heard in the game. Thus, the arranged theme must be present on the footage video. It's preferably that it is the only music present on the video and that, in case it is looped, it is only repeated at most once.
  • Submissions will be evaluated based on the grade they meet the previous requirements.
  • Send only one YouTube link at a time. Don't send a link to a YouTube profile.
  • Send the YouTube link to the footage video to gorifater@gmail.com, including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][VideoFootage]" plus its title. Include in your email:
    • A link to the details page from this website where the video should be placed.
  • If your video is accepted, it will be added to the details page of the arrangement as a YouTube embedded video. It will not be downloadable.
A video performance for the video section
  • You must be an active member of the GMA Forum (you must have more than 30 posts).
  • You must be the performer on the video you submit. Don't submit on behalf of others.
  • Upload your video to YouTube. Name it as you wish. Add to its description a link to Game Music Themes.
  • Your video must be a piano performance of one of the arrangements available at any of the GMA's websites or a medley of several of them.
  • Send the YouTube link to your video to gorifater@gmail.com, including on the subject of the email the text "[GMT][VideoSection]" plus its title. Include in your email:
    • Your nickname.
    • Your email address.
    • Your website. (optional)
    • Your GMA Forum username.
    • A link or attachment to your avatar. (if it's the first time you submit something to this website) (optional)
    • The arrangements you play, the moment in which you begin to play them in the video and links to all of them on the GMA's websites.
    • The size of your video, uncompressed.
  • Once you send the email, have patience. Eventually, you will receive an acceptation email if your video is accepted, or a rejection one if it's not. If your video is accepted, you'll receive information on how to upload it to Game Music Themes on this email.
  • Your video will be downloadable... And videos take even more bandwidth and space than recordings. So if you abandone the GMA community (if you don't give signs of life for a lot of time), your video might be taken down from this website.
