 I don't accept submissions anymore. In 2005 I thought about accepting them as a way to give all the great game music arrangers out there a place to put their work. Then it wasn't as simple as today to give exposure to anything you did. YouTube was just beginning and the social networks hadn't taken off yet. Today, exposure is not a problem anymore; as long as you do something worthwhile, creative and original, people will eventually get to know about it. There's a myriad of ways to show your work to everybody, and in case you want to make your own website, there are also plenty of free web hosting companies. Don't know how to code a website? Then you have the option to make a blog. The possibilities are endless. Also, most of the submissions I received took me too long to review and usually didn't pass my review process. As you know, I appreciate quality a lot, and quality takes time to achieve. You can't slap together a bunch of notes without thinking too much about it and expect to have your arrangement featured on this site. The same applies to anybody who opened a MIDI file with a notation program, printed what the program showed and called it a day, ignoring the layout, the rhythm errors, the lack of key signature, the chords spanning two octaves (which maybe Rachmaninoff wouldn't have cared about :-P) and that passage full of 128th notes that didn't even fit on a single pentagram... I eventually stopped arranging myself and dedicated all my time to review all of this. Not very encouraging, interesting or inspiring. This led me to reduce the amount of updates to just a couple each year. So I won't review anything again. You can always post your work in the appropiate GMA Forum section if you want. This doesn't mean I will be the sole contributor to Game Music Themes from now on. There are many great arrangers that I trust and for which I don't consider necessary a review process. You know who you are :-P, so if you decide to arrange something else, send it to me and it will be added to this site.
